What size is an Android TV banner?
The Android TV home screen banner is 320 × 180 px at xhdpi, and Layerico exports all five density buckets — 160 × 90 (mdpi), 240 × 135 (hdpi), 320 × 180 (xhdpi), 480 × 270 (xxhdpi) and 640 × 360 (xxxhdpi).
Does an Android TV app need a different icon from a phone app?
Yes. Android TV uses a 16:9 banner for the launcher rather than a square icon, and the TV square launcher icon uses an 80dp baseline (80 × 80 to 320 × 320) rather than the 48dp baseline phones use. Layerico exports both sets plus the Play Store assets.
Is a square launcher icon required for Google TV?
Google TV has required a square launcher icon since November 2023. Google TV applies its own circular crop in the "For you" row, so upload artwork that is not pre-cropped and Layerico will export all five densities.
